Our History

Sleetmoor United is a new football club, bringing together ADASC FC, GFC Alfreton Girls and Ladies and Leabrooks Juniors Football Club under one umbrella, to form a single club with a united vision.

Over the years, all three clubs have touched the lives of thousands of families across Derbyshire, providing opportunities to participate in grass-roots sport, learn crucial life skills, make friends and have fun.

Sleetmoor United will build on that tradition. We want to build a community-based football club which offers opportunities to all, as well as creating a state-of-the-art sports and social facility of which the whole community can be proud.

What we want to achieve

Working with a range of funding partners including the Football Foundation, the FA, local authorities, local creative agency Purpose Media and a wide range of third parties from business and the community, we hope to raise around £2m to fund our ambitious plans.

Our Goal

A new club brand and visual identity has been created for Sleetmoor United, which respects the tradition and history of all three clubs and will inspire our bright future.

We want to become one of the premier grass roots football facilities in the East Midlands. With 37 individual teams spanning a full range of age groups, plus a nursery system, we have the size and scale to provide football to the community for years to come.

We are currently in the middle of creating a £2m bid for funding to bring our ambitious plans to fruition, to create a football-based community hub with Sleetmoor United at its core. That’s our vision. We want you to be a part of it.
